1-6 Commutative and Associative Properties Flashcards
What is the Commutative Property?
Is the order in which you add or multiply numbers, the result does not change.
An easy way to find the sum or product of numbers is to group, the numbers is using the
Associative Property
What is Associative Property?

Associative Property
Addition:
a + 0 = 0 + a = a
Multiplication:
a X 1 = 1 X a = a
Identity Property
Multiplication:
a X 0 = 0 X a = 0
