1 Flashcards
AIM #1?
To examine (well known) topographical (maps) memory retrieval and to determine whether recall of well- established spatial layouts activates similar brain regions noted in other studies.
AIM #2?
To assess the neural (creation) of landmark knowledge, where such knowledge was not confounded by location information about position within a large-scale spatial layout.
How did they test AIM 2?
This was achieved by using a task in which famous landmarks were known but the subjects had never visited them.
AIM #3?
To examine topographical memory (landmarks/spatial layouts) and
also non-topographic semantic memory (film clips/film sequences) retrieval to ascertain whether common brain regions (promote) semantic memory regardless of memory type.
