Things that grow, move, reproduce, are made of cells, respirate, excrete waste
Non-living =
Things that do not move, grow, respirate, or excrete waste; like rocks and water. And things that have been processed, like paper or clothing.
Organism =
Either single or multicellular living creatures. Animals, Plants, Fungus, Protist, Bacteria
Cell =
Smallest unit of life
Biotic =
Things in an ecosystem that are living, dead, or have potential for life
Abiotic =
Things in an ecosystem that have never been living
Matter =
Anything that has mass (grams) and takes up space (volume, Liters)

The smallest part of a substance
Molecule =
something that is made up of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds
Energy =
the ability to cause change. Examples: solar radiation, heat, electricity
Producer =
an organism that uses energy and matter from the environment to make its own food molecules
Consumer =
organism that gets energy and matter by eating other organisms
Decomposer =
an organism that gets energy and matter by breaking down the remains of other organisms that have died
