Seatbelts
Worn by everyone during taxi takeoff and landing. One seatbelt per person 2 and older.
When is a transponder with altitude reporting generally required?
-A,B, and C airspace.
-All airspace within 30 Nm of certain. airports (part 91 apndx. D section 1) surface to 10,000 ft ( mode C veil)
-all airspace above the ceiling & within lateral boundaries of B or C up to 10,000 ft MSL.
-at and above 10,000 ft MSL, while above 2,500 ft AGL
-more restrictions will apply to airports listed part 91 apndx D section 2 if added (currently none)
Describe the differences between modes C, A, and S transponders.
A reports a 4096 identifier code. C and S report altitude ( nearest 100 ft) and the 4096 code. S gives more information than C. According to the AIM civil mode c is similar to military mode 3 ( mode A/3)
When is ADS-B out required?
In airspace where a mode c transponder is required, certain places near the Gulf of Mexico, and when installed.

What inspections are required?
12 calender month (annual), 100 hour if for hire, 24 calender month transponder, larger and more complex aircraft need other inspections. Others?
