Where is the Project Sizing tool initiated from?
Application Profiler, Sizing Dialog
Where is the Completed Sizing stored?
On the file system
Attached to the AP using the Sizing Dialog
What is automatically calculated by the Sizing tool
- Timelines
- Durations
- Resource Hours
What are the major components of the Sizing Tool derived from the AP?
- Specifications - lists Work types, Supporting Types, and Specifications
- Interfaces - lists each interface and number of exchanges per interface
- Reports/Correspondence - lists them
- Infrastructure - lists activities requried to setup environments
What Sizing Tool tabs provide effort computations or provide other pertinent information?
- Summary - sizing of overall effort, derived from other tabs
- Details - project effort details including timeline, duration, resource allocations
- User Experience - questionaire used to determine UI risk factors
- Release Notes - versioning information on the Tool
- Scaling - multiplication ratios to adjust formulas based upon skill levels or other complexity items
Describe Sizing Tool Best Practices
Treat the first few sizing outputs as iterations, much the same as the Application Profile
Manually size a few specifications with your LBA/LSA and compare to sizing tool results
When assigning resources, consider the allocation and enablement (PRPC proficiency) of client and offshore resources carefully - adjust scaling as appropriate
Include sufficient management and technical review resources
Once the project has been completed, compare actual results to sizing tool results
What three templates are available for documenting the AP?
- Pega Led
- Partner Led
- Self Led
