What is a tensile force?
A forces that stretches a spring.
What is a compressive force?
A force that compresses a spring.

A measure of stiffness of a spring.

More force is required to stretch it.
What is the correlation between force and extension?
they are directly proportional to each other.
What is the elastic limit?
The point where the spring would loose elasticity if it were stretched any further.

force is proportional to extension.

E = stress/strain
What is ‘E’?
Another way of describing Young’s modulus, it is a property of a material and measured in pascal’s.
