The son of Agamemnon who takes revenge on his mother Clytemnestra—who has murdered his father—and is pursued by the Furies for this matricide. (p. 265)

A festival in Athens with athletic, military, and beauty contests as well as a procession. (p. 254)

The temple of the Acropolis of Athens, dedicated to the “virgin” goddess Athena. (p. 254)
Peplos
A rectangular cloth (roughly five feet by six feet) that is woven annually by the women of Athens and presented to Athena at the Greater Panathenaia. (p. 263)

The son of Cronus and Rhea who is charged with ruling over the seas and oceans. (p. 254)
