- cause?
- Cx = lethargy, poor ex tolerance, musc problems, ^ sens to cold temps, delayed shedding of hair, coarse/thickened face

- surgical thyroidectomy

- difficult and expensive, hard to find TRH or TSH, and results are difficult to interpret
- T4 levels should be low and TSH should be high
