How does BMR affect energy requirements

A

(your bmr is the amount of energy your body needs at rest) Infants and young children have a high BMR sue to rapid growth and development, men also usually have a higher BMR due to a large muscle mass. Elderly people have a low BMR because muscle mass decreases with age. 75% of energy is needed to maintain our BMR.
