He was blind from birth.

Why wasn’t this a strange question in that day?
It was a common belief that if bad things were happening to someone it was because they had sin.

Karma.

Belief that if you have mental or physical illness you must have weak faith.
What was Jesus’ answer to the question?
The man was blind in order to show the power of God.
What is the person application of Jesus’ answer to this question?
Even in hard times God will use our problems for his glory.
Why did the Pharisees have a problem with Jesus healing the blind man?
Jesus healed him on the sabbath.
How did Jesus perform the healing?
By spitting in dirt, making clay, & rubbing it on the blind mans eyes.
Why did the parents of the man not want to answer the Pharisees?
They were afraid of getting kicked out out of the synagogue.
What did the Pharisees claim Jesus to be in their accusations?
A Sinner
What was the man’s logical point to refute that claim?
A sinner can’t do the works of God.
What did the Pharisees do to the man as a result?
Kicked out of the synagogue
How did the man respond to finding out that Jesus was the Son of God?
The man worshiped & believed on him.
