गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः।
गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्मा तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः ॥
अज्ञानतिमिरान्धस्य ज्ञानाञ्जनशलाकया ।
चक्षुरुन्मीलितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः ॥
Guru is Brahman, Vishnu and Mahesvara. Guru is Saksat (verily) Brahman himself. Let us bow down to this great teacher.
Guru clears the darkness of this world through the torch of knowledge.I bow to that Guru who is the giver of knowledge.

अगजाननपद्मार्कं गजाननमहर्निशम्।
अनेकदम् तम् भक्तानाम् एकदन्तम् उपास्महे॥
वक्रतुन्ड महाकाय कोटिसूर्यसमप्रभ।
निर्विघ्नम् कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा॥
We worship Him who is like the Sun for the lotus face of Parvati, who has the face of an elephant, who grants many boons to his devotees, and who has single tusk. Link
O Gajanana! The one with the curved tusk, big belly whose brightness is equal to many (crore) suns! Remove all my obstacles from all my work always. Link
वसुदेवसुतं देवं कंसचाणूरमर्दनम्।
देवकीपरमानन्दं कृष्णं वन्दे जगद्गुरुम्॥
शुक्लाम्बरधरं विष्णुं शशिवर्णं चतुर्भुजम् ।
प्रसन्नवदनं ध्यायेत् सर्वविघ्नोपशान्तये ॥
I bow down to Lord Krishna who is the lord of the entire world. He is the son of Vasudeva. He is the killer of demons like Kamsa and Chanura. He is the darling of his mother Devaki. Link
We should pray to Lord Vishnu to remove all the hurdles in our path of success). He is waering white robes and shining like the moon. He has four arms. His face is always blissful. Link
सरस्वति नमस्तुभ्यं वरदे कामरूपिणि ।
विद्यारंभं करिष्यामि सिद्धिर्भवतु मे सदा ॥
नमस्ते शारदे देवि काश्मीरपुरवासिनी ।
त्वमाहं प्रार्थये नित्यं विद्यां बुद्धिं च देहि मे ॥
O! Goddess! Sarasvati! Salutations to You. You grant boons and you can take any desired form. I am commencing my studies. (May I always be successful.
O’ Goddess residing in Kashmir O’ Sarada! I bow to you. I pray to you to bestow on me learning and wisdom.
