What is the enlightenment project?
A
The goal of changing the world for the better with the application of human reasoning.
Modernist theories came during an industrialising period in Europe, they wanted to improve society with their theories but didnt agree what type of society was the most desirable. This created lots of groups of theorists.

Who and what are structural theorists?
A
Functionalists, marxists and feminism:
They take a top down approach, deterministic approach.
Functionalists- takes a consensus view
Marxism- takes a conflict view
Feminists- take a conflict and interpretivist view
