JFK and media
following the 1960 presidential debate (kennedy v nixon) polls showed those who watched TV thought kennedy won while those who listened to radio thought Nixon won. Kennedy looked better but Nixon sounded better.

the war taken into american living rooms because TV was getting popular. tv news reported the vietnam war in living color and exposed government lies about the progression of the war
watergate
the break-in at the democratic national convention HQ in 1972 and the cover-up by the white house of its involvement leading to the resignation of Nixon.
