all participants mentioned that the African culture had less materialistic belongings and reliable resources of clean water, healthcare, and reliable communication but they were generally a happier people as individuals which the pps attributed too not having (access to the material tic culture promoted through mass media, ) and strong bonds on a personal level between families and local communities.

From this positioning they become aware of the dominance of our materialistic cultures dominance enforced through peer or societals pressure to flow the latest trend. Might realise ur I position in relation to there’s a great full for crucial things to life, and your access to these things they rejoice in is so easy you take it for granted. Which can then extend to critique of materialistic culture or superficial. Individual Vs family and community orientated.
