The belief that a nation should stay out of the affairs with other countries
Expansionism
The practice of expanding a nations control over it’s borders
Imperialism
Spreading nations rule over other countries

A build up of military power and thinking your military is the best
Alliances
A partnership formed for mutual benefit, often for countries to support each other in war
Nationalism
A feeling of intense loyalty to your country
Propaganda
Ideas or information intentionally being spread to help or harm a cause, used to influence opinion
Armistice
An agreement to end fighting

Germany had to accept full responsibility for the war and had to pay Allied powers billions of dollars; created new nations; Britain, France and the US all had different ideas on how to handle Germany and US decided to keep peace but France and Britian wanted revenge because they got the worse end of the war

in a war when neither side has made progress
