15
Q

What does compression of the ulnar nerve at the wrist lead to?

A

Handlebar neuropathy. Sensory loss of palmar surface of digit 5 and half of 4. Motor weakness in intrinsic muscles of the hand (except thenar eminence and lateral 2 lumbricals). Hyperextension of metacarpophalangeal joints of digits 4 and 5 and clawing of these digits.

16
Q

What Colle’s fracture?

A

Fracture of distal end of the radius. Due to FOOSH. Dinner fork appearance of wrist.

17
Q

What is fracture of the distal radial epiphysis?

A

Common in children, separation of growth plates. good prognosis. Can have premature fusion=abnormally short bone.
