Q
Trigger finger
A
- flexor tenosynovitis
- thickening and inflammation of tenosyvonium or pulleys, leading to tendon nodule formation,
- usually affecting A1 pulley
- mechanical locking in a flexed position.
- MOI: repetitive digital flexion
- ( + ) slight clicking
- tx: buddy splint exercise
Tenosynovium fxn: allow friction less muacg in flexor tendons
Pulleys- maintain tendons in place
3
Q
deQuuetprvains Tenosynovitis
A
- inflammation and entrapment of the tendons: abductor pollicis longus ( apollo ) and extensor pollicis brevis
- MOI: repetitive gripping with ulnar deviations
- ( + ) finklestein test
4
Q
Extensor pollicis longus
A
- “ Drummer boy palsy “
- ( + ) pain and swelling at Listers tubercle
Notes
Listers tubercle- tendons of EPL pass by the radial styloid.
5
Q
Carpal ligament instability
A
- dorsal intercalataed segmental instability ( DISI )
- rultures scapholunate ligament
- volar intercalated segmental instability ( VISI )
- ruptured lunotriquetral ligament
Notes
Scaphoid- must ventral
Triauetrum- muacg- dorsal capitate goes with free
6
Q
Mallet finger
A
- baseball finger
- tendon rupture
- deformity: flexion of DIP joint
MCP extend
PIP flex
DIP hyper extend
7
Q
Boutonnière
A
- tendon rupture: central slip
- deformity: DIP extension , PIP flexion, MCP extension
- associated with late stage RA
8
Q
Swan neck
A
- tendon rupture: volar plate and flexor flexor digitorum superficialis
- deformity: DIP flex PIP extend MCP flex
- associated with late stage RA
9
Q
Dupuytrens disease
A
- contracture of the palmar fascia
- MC affected fifth digit
- stages: ( 3 )
- Proliferation- increase myofibroblast
- Involution- mF align tension tiles
3 myofibrolblast- resolve
Hahahahaha I wanna life and the way you are trying to make me feel like I have no feelings of emotions
