A verb is an action, state or occurence (a doing word)
What is an adverb
And adverb describes a verb
What is an adjective
And adjective describes a noun
What is a noun
A noun is a person place or a thing
Conjunction
A conjunction is a word that connects two sentances (and, or, because)
What is a determiner
A determiner modifies a noun, telling you a bit more about it
What is corruption
Dishonesty and illegal behaviour by people with authority or power
What is a shanty
A shanty is a small rough hut made from tin, cardboard or materiels that are not very strong
What does stifiling mean
Stifiling heat is so intense that it makes you feel uncomfortable, describing a place that is extremely hot
What is a squatter
A squatter is someone who lives in an unused building for free without having a legal right to do so
What is siphoning
If you siphon money or resources from something, you cause them to be used for a purpose for which they were not intended
What is prosecution
The lawyers who try to prove that a person on trial is guilty are called the prosecution
What is poise
If someone has poise, they are calm, dignified and self-controlled
What does destitute mean
Someone who is destitute has no money or possessions
What is Marginalising
To marginalide a group of people means to make them feel isolated or unimportant
