Women’s were forced to dress a certain way and discouraged to wear makeup and dye their hair.

Speeches were made encouraging them to leave work and become housewives.

They told women’s to focus on:
- kinder = Children
- kucher = Kitchen
- kirche = Church
Why had the birth rate in 1900 to 1933 fall from 2 million to 1 million ?
because many women’s started working.
Why were the Nazis concerened bout the birth rate falling ?
Because few children meant few soldiers and workers

- A loan worth 1000 marks (8 months wages) to encourage wives to stay at home
When were Loans available ?
When the wives stopped working.
How is loan and childbirth linked ?
For every child born a quarter of their loan is payed off so if 4 children’s were born their loan will be paid off completely
What were the laws on divorce ?
If the women can’t give birth or does not want to, the husband can divorce her.
