It can build a good relationship between the service user and care worker when you have raised their confidence, the service user will become more comfortable around the care worker despite their insecurities.
Describe Empowerment…
Empowerment is giving someone the authority or power to do something.It allows service users to feel as though they are in control of their own lives which will make them feel confident.
Describe how confidence and trust can have a positive impact on service users…
The service user can feel good about themselves and be able to express the way they feel or say what they want without being shy. Also they will be able to confide in the care worker more which will build a good relationship.
Describe the impact when making a service user feel safe..
The service user will feel comfortable in their surroundings and not feel as though they need to worry.
Describe the impact on giving equal access to services/treatment important?
If everyone has the same choice and access to things they will feel equal and be themselves without having to try an impress their care worker to be noticed. If everyone in a residential home was offered a service but one individual wasn’t, it would lower their self esteem and make them feel as though they had done something wrong.
What is the impact on ensuring individual rights are met?
It will help people feel valued and raise there self esteem. It will also make them feel as though they are in control and have power of what they do.
