Electromagnetic waves(light)

A

They are made up of a transverse elecrtic field wave oscillating in phase with a transverse magnetic field wave

The individual electric and magnetic field waves are perpendicular

it oscillates perpendicular to the veloctiy

Speed of this wave is constant i.e 3.00 x10^8 ms^-1

EM Waves are formed by accelerated Chareges

A

An accelerating charge creates an oscillating elecrtic fields and an oscillating magnetic field .
The oscillating fields propagate each other allowing them to move far away from the orignal source of the wave
