What is the Waste Gas Design?
- adequate processing of waste gases from both plants assuming continuous operation with 1% fuel defect ***
What does the WGC inlet isolation valve do?
- Prevents short-circuiting gas thru the S/B WGC ***
- opens when WGC on, closes when WGC off
What does the WGC Moisture Sep Unloader valve do?
- Prevents compressor from starting under load ***
- unloads moisture separator when WGC off.
- Closes when compressor is running
- Opens to CVCS HUT Vent Header
What does the WGC Moisture Sep GAs Recycle Valve do?
- Controls vent header # ** by opening to recycle waste gas from moisture separator back to vent header
What is the interlock associated with the GDT Inlets?
- if one is open, all others remain closed**
When will the I/S GDT swap to the Standby GDT?
- hi-hi oxygen (from AOM)**
- I/S GDT gets to 100#
At what constant pressure does RRV-305 (Waste Gas Release # Ctrl Valve) maintain to RRV-306?
- 5# inlet #
What does RRV-306 (Waste Gas Release Flow Ctrl valve)do?
- Manually positioned to control release flow rate
What will trip closed RRV-306 (Waste Gas Release Flow Ctrl valve)?
- loss of both U1 AX Fans
- High Rad on U1 or U2 Vent Stack Rad Monitors
What does the AGA do?
- Monitors GDTs for flammable mix of hydrogen and oxygen ***
High O2 – 2.5% O2
High H2 – 4.0% H2
What does the AOM do?
- monitors oxygen at discharge of compressors **
High O2 – 2.5% O2
Hi-Hi O2 – 2.7% O2 (Closes GDT inlet on I/S GDT)
What is the GDT basis?
- Restricting the quantity of radioactivity contained in each gas storage tank provides assurance that in the event of an uncontrolled release of the tanks’ contents, with the resulting total body exposure to an individual at the nearest site boundary will not exceed 0.5 rem
What interlock does RRV-306 have to open?
- At least 1 AX must be running**
When do RCDT Vent Contaminent Isolation Valves (DCR-201/203) trip closed?
- Phase A
