The subject of the missing verb is the person, or thing that’s doing the verb’s action. Singular subjects need a singular verb, and plural subjects need a plural verb.

REMEMBER: Be on the lookout for verbs that are separated from their subjects. The subject of the verb must be doing the action of the verb.
