Superior/Inferior Vena Cavas
Drain blood (from body) into right atrium of the heart.
R/L Brachiocephalic Vein
Drains blood from head, neck, & upper extremities.
Subclavian Vein
Drains blood from head, neck & upper limbs.
Axillary Vein
(Located in upper arm). Drains into the subclavian vein.
External Jugular Vein
Vein that drains from the deep parts of the face and superficial structures of the face.
Vertebral Vein
Drains blood from cervical spinal cord and vertebrae.
Internal Jugular Veins
Drains blood from dural sinuses of the brain.
Common Iliac Vein
Drains the legs and pelvis.
Lumbar Vein
Drain lumbar muscles, skin from abdominal wall, and vertebral plexuses.
Renal Vein
Drains the kidney.
Hepatic Vein
Drain blood from the liver.
(Fetal) Umbilical Vein
Carry newly oxygenated/nutrient-rich blood back to the fetus.
(Fetal) Umbilical Arteries
Carries deoxygenated blood towards the placenta for replenishment .
(Fetal) Foramen Ovale
Allows blood to flow from right atrium to the left atrium during fetal development.
(Fetal) Fossa Ovalis
Allows blood to pass from right to left atrium.
