- Round or oval shape
- Thin or imperceptible wall
- Posterior acoustic enhancement
- Anechoic fluid
- Absence of septations or nodules

- Complete septation (i.e. multilocular cyst)
- Solid nodules
- Papillary projections
- Malignant masses have neo vascularity
