A

Origin: medial and anterior surface of proximal 3/4 of ulna and interosseous membrane

Insertion: palmar base of distal phalanges of medial four digits

Innervation:

  • medial: ulnar nerve
  • lateral: median nerve

Action: flexes distal phalanges of medial four digits, assists with flexion of hand at wrist

Blood supply: anterior interosseous artery, muscular branches of ulnar artery

  • spinal part: extends and laterally rotates arm
