What is testosterone?
A hormone produced mainly in the testes that regulates male secondary sexual characteristics and sperm production.
What is the Cowper’s gland?
A gland in males that produces pre-ejaculatory fluid to neutralize acidity in the urethra.
What are the fallopian tubes?
Tubes in females that transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus; the site of fertilization.
What is the female reproductive cell?
The egg or ovum, produced by the ovaries.
What is the clitoris?
A small, sensitive organ in females, located above the vaginal opening, involved in sexual pleasure.
What is the scrotum?
A sac of skin that holds the testicles and regulates their temperature for sperm production.
What is the uterus?
The organ in females where a fertilized egg implants and a fetus develops during pregnancy.
What is estrogen?
A hormone produced by the ovaries that regulates the menstrual cycle and develops female secondary sexual characteristics.
What is the endometrium?
The lining of the uterus that thickens during the menstrual cycle and sheds during menstruation if no pregnancy occurs. provides nutrients for the growing fetus
What is the vagina?
The muscular canal in females that connects the cervix to the external genitalia; involved in menstruation, sexual intercourse, and childbirth.
What is the cervix?
The lower part of the uterus that opens into the vagina; it dilates during childbirth and allows menstrual blood to exit.
What is the epididymis?
A coiled tube behind each testicle where sperm mature and are stored.
What are the seminal vesicles?
Male glands that produce a fluid rich in sugar to nourish sperm and form part of semen.
What is the ovary?
Female reproductive organ that produces eggs (ova) and hormones like estrogen and progesterone.
What is the male reproductive cell?
The sperm, produced in the testicles.
