UNIT 6- Propaganda Flashcards

1
Q

War propaganda

A

Application of the models, forms and techniques of propaganda in general, for war purposes.
There has always been an attempt to intimidate the enemy, exaggerate one’s own strength, sow discord, spread false information, maintain the morale of one’s own troops, etc.

Thus, we can say that war propaganda is directed at very different objectives:
- To maintain the morale of the combatant forces themselves
T- o undermine those of the enemy combatants.

Q

Psychological techniques

A

A psychological technique is considered any instrument carried out in order to achieve a change of opinion of the individual without him perceiving this change. One of many, applied since time immemorial, is based on the simple relationship between punishment and reward.

Continuously, man has known how to act in a certain way, either to obtain something in return or, on the contrary, out of fear of the sentence that could be applied to him if he did not adopt the appropriate conduct.

Q

Propaganda

A

Propaganda is a form of communication that is designed to influence people’s beliefs, opinions, or actions in a way that serves the interests of a particular group, organization, or cause. It often uses emotionally charged, selective, or misleading information to persuade an audience, rather than providing a balanced and factual presentation of the issue at hand.
