F major Scale
A series of eight notes within the F major key, following a specific
pattern of whole and half steps.
Eighth rest
A musical symbol indicating silence or a pause lasting for the duration of an eighth note.
Accent
Emphasis placed on a particular note or musical phrase, often indicated by a > symbol above or below the note.
Primary chords of F Major
F, B flat, C7. These are the three most commonly used chords in the key of F major, consisting of the F major chord (F), the B flat major chord (B flat), and the dominant seventh chord (C7).
Key of F major
The musical key centered around the note F, characterized by the specific arrangement of whole and half steps that define the F major scale.
Arpeggiated Chords
Chords in which the notes are played sequentially rather than
simultaneously, creating a broken chord effect.
Mezzo piano
A dynamic marking indicating a moderately soft volume level, often abbreviated as “mp” in sheet music.
Pianissimo
A dynamic marking indicating a very soft volume level, softer than mezzo piano, often abbreviated as “pp” in sheet music.
