  • Get zero on one side of the inequality
  • Solve the quadratic equation = 0 to find x intercepts
  • Sketch the quadratic clearly labelling the x intercepts
  • For > 0 the solutions are values of x where the graph is above the x axis
  • For < 0 the solutions are values of x where the graph is below the x axis
