According to ASPA what can be carried out under a establishment licence
- applying regulated procedure to protected animals

what does the NCO do?
named person responsible for compliance - ensuring the requirements of ASPA and conditions of th elicences are complied with - this will normally be holder of the establishment licence
what deos the NACWO do?
the named aniaml care and welfare officer - oversees the welfare and care of animals
what does the NIO do?
named information officer - ensure those dealing with animals have access to any infomationt hat they need about hte species they are using
what does the NTCO do?
named training and competency officer - ensure those dealing with aniamls = adequatley educated, trained and supervised until competents
what does the NVS do?
named veterinary surgeon - advising on health, welfare and treatment of the animals
what is the schedule of premises
bulk of the establishment licence - schedule of premise - listing speciec areas within the establishment where protected aniamls = bred,held,used and or killed - approved areas
what other licences are the schedule of premises listed
personal and project licences must be aware of the schedule of premises listing for th erooms their protected aniamls are being held, bred?
who can be quereied on the schedule of premises
- NACWO - named within PEL - resposible for buildings - consulted
what must the establishment licence holder take responsibility for?
- ensure staffing and fabric mantained
- ensure reasonable steps to stop unauthorised procedures
- adequate training facilities are available
what are some of the roles of the estalishment licenced holder?
- provide leadership
- ensure compliance
- ensure the 3Rs = applied as fully as possible
- ensure staffing
- setting up and running an effective AWERB
- overseeing performance and conduct of named people
- ensure animals = cared for
- record keeping and appropriate identification of animals
- maintain register of people competent to kill animals
what does the standard condictions of PELh/NCO allow for
the licence can be revoked suspeneded etc - for breach of the standard conditions
