What composes a liver panel?
ALKP (alkaline phosphatase), ALT, AST, bilirubin (total, direct, and indirect), albumin, and TP (total protein)
What does CMP stand for and what does it measure?
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel; combines the BMP and the liver panel
What are the cardiac markers?
troponin, myoglobin, CK-MB, and BNP (brain natriuretic peptide)
What are the common minerals tested for in chemistry?
Ca, K, PO3, Mg
What components are tested for in suspected blood disorders?
Fe, transferrin, total iron binding capacity (TIBC), B12, and folate
What hormones can be tested in the lab?
testosterone, estradiol, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), prolactin, FT3, FT4
