Q
The Cardiac Cycle
A
SA node sends an electrical impulse to cause both walls of the atrial to contract
non conducting tissue stops the impulse from hitting the ventricle walls and causing it to contract
the impulse transferred to the AV node
this sends electrical impulses to the bundle of his after a delay
the waves pass to the purkine tissue; ventricle walls contract simultaneously
2
Q
Why is there a delay between the contraction of the atrials and ventricles?
A
So the blood can empty into the ventricles before it contracts
