- personal injury is caused to a person other than the driver of that MPV

-OR to any other property constructed on, fixed to, growing in or otherwise forming part of the land on which the road or place in question is situated or land adjacent to such land

S.170 duties

A
  • Driver of MPV must stop and, if required to do so by any person having reasonable grounds for so requiring, give his name and address and also the name and address of the owner of the vehicle and identification marks of the vehicle and, if injury has been caused and the MPV is a motor vehicle, produce proof of insurance
  • If for any reason he does not give his name and address and or documentation he must report the incident in person to a constable or at a police station as soon as reasonably practicable & within 24 hrs
