Need to dig under the muscle a bit to find it, can be found in front of the shoulder - sort of still on the neck
Non-palpable lymph nodes:
- Retropharyngeal
- Parotid
- Auxillary
- Superficial inguinal
- Mesenteric
Important paramters to check in lymph nodes:

- Shape
- consistency
- Structure
- Pain/no pain
- Movability
- Surface
- Skin above
- symmetry on both sides
Normal size of lymph nodes:
Cat = pea sized (also in beagles)
Dog - medium breed = grape sized
If the size is 1.5 x bigger it is suspicious
Normal shape of lymph nodes:
Round,
Normal consistency of lymph nodes:
soft rubber like
Normal structure of lymph nodes:
Homogenous
Normal movability of lymph nodes:
Easily movable
Normal surface of lymph nodes:
Smooth, regular and intact
Normal skin above of lymph nodes:
Temperature is ok
Elasticity
Check for damage
