I device designed to fix an object into place. A joint that allows no movement. For example a nail or screw.
Rigid joint
A type of structure in which a skeleton of materials supports the weight of other parts.
Frame structure
An object or structure not made by people
Natural structure
The weight carried or supported by structure
Load
A force that pulls on a material and stretches it apart
Tension
A process in which layer of material is pressed or glued onto other layers
Laminations
Structures, such as egg cartons and bottles, that use a thin, Carefully shaped outer layer of material to provide their strength and rigidity.
Shell stucture
Glues that hold things together.
Adhesives
Holding pieces of material or plastic together by melting them
Welding
An object or structure that is made by humans
