thoracic regional anatomy - INCOMPLETE Flashcards
diagnostic imaging: identify major thoracic structures on standard diagnostic images e.g. CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound
1
Q
AP vs PA x-ray
A
always coronal, but depends on which direction x-ray shone (can tell by determining whether posterior or anterior of rib is more prominent) - gives different sizes to structures of interest as x-rays travel and spread further before detector - different views of dimension
2
Q
MRI of heart
A
braciocephalic vein → SVC → right atrium → pulmonary artery → pulmonary vein → left heart → aorta
