Write an account of Nazi propaganda

1. Used by the Nazi Party before + after the came to power
2. Man in charge - Dr. Josef Goebbels
3. In years before power gained, used propaganda in election posters by blaming Jews for all problems of Germany + urging people to vote for Nazis
4. After got into power, used it to ensure they controlled + manipulated public opinion
5. All newspapers under control of Nazis, could only print approved stories
6. Goebbels also saw power of cinema, number of pro-Nazi propaganda films made
7. Radios became important propaganda weapon, cheap radios manufactured so all ordinary Germans could afford one
8. Radio stations broadcast large amount of Nazi propaganda + speeches of senior Nazi members
9. One of biggest propaganda events was large rally held annually in Nuremberg to celebrate Nazi achievements

Account of the Nazi economy

1. During election campaign Hitler promised would fix German economic crisis - millions unemployed due to WSC
2. In 1932 over 6mil without jobs, in 1936 2mil, Hitler claimed that by 1939 there was full employment
3. Upon coming to power he immediately created a huge public works scheme that provided work for large numbers of unemployed
4. As a result of this scheme, new motorway system built all over Germany called the autobahn
5. Large number of jobs created when he increased size of army + all new factories producing guns, planes + tanks created
6. Special allowance paid to married women with children to encourage them to stay at home - made it rule that role of women was in the home, not out working
7. Large number of jobs also created by sacking Jewish people
