Plebeians were the ordinary citizens of Rome. They were the shopkeepers, craftsmen, and small farmers, and they made up the majority of Rome’s citizens.
What does the term “common welfare” mean?
“Common welfare” is something that is good for everyone in a society.
What is the defining feature of a republican form of government?
A republic has representatives that are elected by citizens. These representatives “represent” the interests of the people that elected them.
What is civic virtue?
Civic virtue is when you work towards the common welfare - helping out your community.
