The Gastrointestinal tract (GIT) is a long tube open at both ends for the transit of food during processing.
Organs include the mouth, most of the pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine
Accessory structures include the teeth, tongue, salivary glands, gall bladder and pancreas

Define ruage

A

Rugae is a term used in anatomy that refers to a series of ridges produced by folding of the wall of an organ. Most commonly the term is applied to the internal surface of the stomach. The function of the rugae is to allow the stomach, or other tissue, to expand when needed.
