what is hook?
something to grab their attention away from their own thoughts and into a place of learning.
what is book?
clarifies the meaning of the passage, gives biblical information.
what is look?
this is the move to implication. shows how lesson relates to daily living.
what is took?
requires a response to the teaching that takes place outside of the class room. encourage the student to pin point personal areas of application
What are the 7 parts of a lesson plan?
1) Objective: what are you trying to accomplish
2) Materials: things you will need to teach
3) Set up: how will the room look, tables, chairs.

2) see them: they are made in God’s image, don’t put into leadership too soon, watch and see, observation goes both ways
3) Know them: grow relationships with them and parents, celebrate with them, show up and cheer for them.
4) Love them: Love is an action word, loving others, recognize God’s love for them and others
5) Feed them and Pray for them: take them deep, sticky faith, look for teachable God moments
