Identity
Set of characteristics by which a person is known
Community
A social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government, and often have a common cultural and historical heritage.
Socialization
a continuing process whereby an individual acquires a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behavior, and social skills appropriate to his or her social position.
Prosperity
the state of flourishing, thriving, good fortune and / or successful social status.
HDI
Human Development Index:
A composite statistic of life expectancy, education, and income per capita indicators, which are used to rank countries into four tiers of human development.
IDHI
Inequality Human Development Index:
The IHDI takes into account not only the average achievements of a country on health, education and income, but also how those achievements are distributed among its citizens by “discounting” each dimension’s average value according to its level of inequality.
Market economy
An economic system in which economic decisions and the pricing of goods and services are guided solely by the aggregate interactions of a country’s citizens and businesses and there is little government intervention or central planning.
Planned economy
An economic system in which economic decisions are made by the state or government rather than by the interaction between consumers and businesses.
Mixed economy
An economic system that features characteristics of both capitalism and socialism. A mixed economic system allows a level of private economic freedom in the use of capital, but also allows for governments to interfere in economic activities in order to achieve social aims
Welfare
Welfare is the provision of a minimal level of well-being and social support for all citizens, sometimes referred to as public aid. In most developed countries welfare is largely provided by the government, and to a lesser extent, charities, informal social groups, religious groups, and inter-governmental organizations.
