What is a tactical withdrawal?

A

The removal of personnel from a specific area of potential danger in a safe and planned manner.

Who can initiate a tactical withdrawal?

A

Anyone can if unsafe conditions are detected and there is not enough time to pass information through the command structure but the IC must be informed as soon as possible. A tactical withdrawal will normally be implemented by the IC, Operations commander, Sector commander or Safety officer.

  • BA teams evacuated via the telemetry entry control
    board (evacuate all function).

  • A BA emergency team maybe committed if it is not
