Q

Describe a method of determining the speed of a moving object in a lab

A
  • set up two light gates so that they measure the time from the first to the second
  • measure the distance they are apart
  • then set up a shallow ramp so a trolley rolls STEADILY from one light gate to the next
  • then do distance divided by time to get the speed of the trolley
