What is a sonnet?
A poem with 14 lines using rhyme schemes that most of the time has a meaning
What is an octave in an Italian sonnet and what does it rhymes with?
The first eight lines which state a proposition or raises a question and it rhymes with ABBAABBA
What is a sestet in an Italian sonnet and what does it rhyme with?
The last six lines that solves the problem or applies the proposition and it rhymes with CDECDE

14 lines
What are quatrains in an English sonnet and how many are there?
They are images or examples and there are 3 in an English sonnet
What does the first quatrain rhyme with?
ABAB
What does the second quatrain rhyme with?
CDCD
What does the third quatrain rhyme with?
EFEF
What is the couplet, where is it and what does it rhyme with?
It is the last two lines, it gives commentary on the preceding ideas and it rhymes with GG
What is the tone?
Tone is the authors attitude towards a subject in a text
What is the mood?
Mood is the feeling the reader experiences while reading the text.
