Watery diarrhea, flushing, sweating, wheezing, dyspnea, abdominal pain, hypotension

Precipitated by: alcohol blue cheese chocolate red wine or exercise anesthesia
Dx carcinoid syndrome
Urinary excretion of 5-HIAA
Serum Chromagranin A
Somatostatin receptor scintigraphy
Tx carcinoid syndrome
Octreotide
Avoidance of Triggers
Tx carcinoid tumors
Surgical Excision
+/- chemotherapy
Chemoembolization
