What makes your skeleton?
All the bones in your body make up your skeleton.
What are joints?
Joints occur between two or more bones, they allow the skeleton to bend.
What are the three types of joints?
Hinge joints, ball-and-socket joints and fixed joints.
How do hinge joints move?
Forwards/backwards movements only, e.g., knees
How do ball and socket joints move?
Movement in all directions, e.g., shoulders
How do fixed joints move?
No movement allowed, e.g., the skull
