Simple biomechanics Flashcards
What is force
Push or pull action on an object
What is formula for force
Force = Mass x Accelaration
How is force exerted with gravity in football
Gravity will pull ball to the ground,So you have to calculate the weight of a pass
Playing a high and long ball to the defenders, Putting them under pressure when the ball is coming down from a great height
How is force exerted with air resistance in football
When you kick and pass the ball the air resistance will slow the ball down
How is force exerted with muscular force in football
If not enough muscular force put on the pass the ball may not reach your teammate
What is ground reactions force
Reaction to the force that the body exerts on the ground
How does ground reaction force come to play in sprinting
Ground reaction force allows us to be in constant contact with the ground
on starting blocks, They are angled so you are able to have a angled horizontal burst
What is a first class lever and usually where in the body is it used
Usually in the head
When nodding head the effort is the neck muscles providing movement
fulcrum is joint where skull meets spine and resistance is the weight of the head
Order: E F R
What is a second class lever and usually where in the body is it used
Usually in the foot
Effort is force applied by gastrocnemius. Fulcrum is the joints at the toes. Resistance is the weight of body going through foot.
Order: E R F
What is a third class lever and usually where in the body is it used
Usually in a bicep curl
Effort is the bicep, Fulcrum is at the elbow joint, Resistance is the wright being lifted.
Order: F E R
