Seven Environmental Principles Flashcards
What are the 7 Environmental principles
- Nature knows Best
- All forms of Life are Important
- Everything is Related to Everything else
- Everything Changes
- Everything Must go Somewhere
- Finiteness of Resources
- Nature is Beautiful and we are stewards of God’s Creation
This principle emphasizes that nature has its own way of functioning, and human intervention should respect and work with natural processes rather than disrupt them
Nature knows Best
This principle emphasizes that every organism, no matter how big or small, plays a role in the ecosystem and contributes to the balance of nature
All forms of life are Important
Ecosystem is interconnected; a change in one part of the environment can have wide-reaching effects on the parts
Everything is Related to Everything else
Nature is dynamic, and both the environment and living organisms are constantly changing due to natural cycles and human activities
Everything changes
In nature, waste does not simply disappear. Every substance or materials released into the environment ends up somewhere, often having an impact in ecosystems.
Everything must go somewhere
Earth’s resources are limited, and humans must use them responsibly to avoid depleting them for future generations
Finiteness of Resources
This principle highlights the aesthetic and intrinsic value of nature and the responsibility humans have to protect and preserve it for future generations
Nature is beautiful and we are stewards of God’s Creation
