Something that shows the colleges what classes you took and what grades you had in them.

GPA
The rank of a student in comparison to other students academic performance, ex: “8th in her class” you are only competing against others in your grade level
Class Rank
College level courses you can take in high school you have to pass the AP exam to get college credit (harder than dual-credit courses)
AP
College level courses you can take in high school you have to pass the class to get college credit
Dual Credit
A form you need to fill out to get any financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college. some money is free, some money is earned
FAFSA
Economic value of a worker’s experience and skills. ex: creativity, problem-solving, etc.
Human Capital
Tests on the four main subjects (language arts, math, social studies, and science) that once passed, earns you a high school equivalency credential.
GED (General Education Development Test)
A specific subject area that students specialize in (in university).

An educational institution providing higher education.
College
Two year colleges that provide postsecondary education.
Community colleges are less expensive and easier to get into, but do not provide you as much credibility for future jobs.
